Advantages of ITC Recycling

11/04/2020

Recycling is essentially the process of turning waste materials into usable objects and new items. The recycling of any material relies on its ability to become more valuable by reacquiring its original or virgin state. It is therefore the process by which valuable products are transformed into useful and affordable items. Recycling does not always require a change in a product and hence this method of recycling works well for many industries.

However, most industries are still not able to adopt it as an effective method and hence this method of recycling is considered incomplete. These industries include paper, plastic, glass, tin, paper and plastic bottles etc. These industries all have the potential to make use of it when it comes to the process of recycling and when the industry can benefit from the use of recycled materials, then the benefits outweigh the disadvantages.

The benefits of IT recycling are numerous and these include but are not limited to; cost effectiveness, reduced dependence on non-biodegradable resources, environmental preservation, reduced wastage of precious raw materials and reduction of pollution due to non-recycled products. There are many other benefits that can be attributed to recycling and these include but are not limited to, the ability of using less materials thus reducing the energy consumption, recycling of plastics that have lower impact on the environment and also reducing the need for non-biodegradable resources. However, it must be borne in mind that most of the disadvantages of ITC recycling do lie in the need to purchase recycled materials from a third party.

The main disadvantage associated with IITC recycling is the fact that it takes longer to process than non-ITC methods. In addition, it involves a third party as they are required to purchase the needed resources for recycling from the industries. Also, it is necessary to have a license from the government to perform such a process on a large scale. Some of the other disadvantages of ITC recycling include; there are no guarantees about its safety, and also you must ensure that you get the proper equipment that is available for recycling.

However, the advantages of ITC recycling are immense. They include but are not limited to; you get to recycle many useful materials such as, metals and paper and also save a lot of money on the use of non-biodegradable materials such as plastic, glass and tin. You are able to convert these materials in such a way that they are useful to your daily life rather than just being discarded and also can be utilised as raw materials for new products. Hence, it is a perfect way of conserving the non-biodegradable materials that we waste on a daily basis and at the same time is able to recycle the raw materials. This process also enables you to conserve precious raw materials and money which can be used to upgrade production processes and thus creating employment opportunities for more people in the industry and thus create more jobs.

There is still some scope for improvement and thus there are several projects that can be undertaken to help with the improvement of ITC recycling and as such the number of industries that can adopt it will continue to rise. Apart from that, there are also numerous ways of getting the certification so that the environment is protected.
